Escuela Camino Claro (ECC) is a non-profit community education center in Pavones, Costa Rica.

ECC is dedicated to providing educational services and community programs to the low-income families of Pavones, Costa Rica. Developed and implemented by two long-term visitors to Pavones and now managed by a local resident, ECC is committed to providing the Pavones’ community with a variety of services that address our core objectives: removing barriers to education; increasing literacy rates; supporting community projects; raising environmental awareness; and empowering community members.

Our vision is that each individual is given the tools to stimulate self-development so that they may ensure a successful and productive life for themselves and future generations. We believe all people should have equal access to resources, specifically within a nation confronted with the affects of globalization and foreign investment. Through ECC's programs to build a strong and empowered community, people will coexist in a mutually beneficial relationship within Pavones' unique and diverse community.
