Kalapuya Rocks! (or Kalapuya’s Rocks?)
Whichever way you look at it, Kalapuya High School did an amazing job improving the newly installed playground in Pavones’ center. In five full days, the group created a masterpiece for the children to enjoy and everyone in town to admire. With Hadas’s help and guidance, the group designed and painted four themed benches, painted river rocks for the path, did some minor landscaping, and cleaned trash in and around the new playground.
Dear Kalapuya High School (including Cal, Renee, and SEHS students too!),
On behalf of the entire town of Pavones, Costa Rica, Raphel and I thank you for your hard work, laughter, and energy. It was a pleasure, once again, to host the group and witness positive changes being made and cross-cultural boundaries being broken.
